The City of Conway is accepting resumes for the position of Customer Service Representative working in the Animal Welfare Unit, a division of the Conway Public Works Department. Position will be responsible for processing all aspects of adoption and returns to owners; intake of animals that arrive at the shelter and administer vaccinations when necessary.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Applicants without a diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to accurately type at least 45 WPM.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Able to perform several critical tasks simultaneously and accurately including answering telephones and communicating with the public regarding lost animals.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must have valid AR driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to remain calm and think clearly in stressful situations.
  • Must be willing to be exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate well with the public, other departments, and all City employees.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 36 hours Monday through Friday and 4 hours each Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Salary is $16.22 per hour/$33,743 annually with a competitive benefits package.
